EDA's Work Programme is annually approved by the Steering Board in Ministers of Defence formation. All Work Programmes are available here.

EDA Annual Reports explain the activities across the Agency’s four functional areas, as well as statistics from the Agency’s finances and staff, output in terms of contracts and other results. The first EDA Annual Report was published in 2010. Annual Reports are published here.

"The European Defence Agency is well-aware that defence budgets of its Member States will most likely remain constrained, in particular under the impact of the financial-economic crisis. At the same time the costs of equipment rise annually between five and ten percent. Logically, the room for investment for the Ministries of Defence will decrease. Therefore, the European countries will have no other choice to invest more together and to seek civil-military synergies. Working together in Europe will reduce costs and that will be most needed. EDA is well-placed in the family of European institutions to coordinate and stimulate this development." Alexander Weis, EDA's Chief Executive (2007-2010), September 2009.
